Who we are
Wrenze Steel Engineering Consultancy is the trading name of Wrenze Engineering Consultancy L.L.C, based in Park Avenue Building, Office 304, Dubai Silicon Oasis, Dubai. We have worked in the UAE's structural steel construction industry since 2012. We help contractors, consultants and steel fabricators with the engineering that comes with the steel scope of work: design, connections, shop drawings, quantities and approvals.
Each member of the team specialises in one part of a project, such as analysis and design, connection design or detailing. That way every part has an engineer who is responsible for it and checks it.
Our design approach
We aim for a design that is reliable and economical: safe within the code limits, and as light and simple to fabricate and erect as the project allows. During tendering we can prepare a preliminary design so contractors price the lowest practical steel weight and fabrication cost.
What we take into account
- The structure: the client's and consultant's requirements, the architectural drawings, site conditions, how the building is used, and the choice of structural system, spans, frame spacing, bracing and connection types.
- The engineering rules: international codes (American, British and European), local municipality regulations, the consultant's recommendations, and the ultimate and serviceability limit states.
- Fabrication: steel sections available in stock, less material waste, weldability, fewer welded joints and complex connections, transport, and hot-rolled sections in place of built-up sections where they work.
- Construction: assembly weights that suit the cranes on site, fewer bolts per connection, less site welding, and smaller footings through a lighter structure and the right support type.

Quality, safety and insurance
- ISO 9001:2015 certified: our quality management system is certified by IQRA Certification for architectural design consultancy, metal engineering services, construction engineering services and road and traffic engineering services.
- Quality policy: every design calculation and drawing we submit follows our quality procedures, with continuous improvement, staff training and close work with clients to meet their requirements.
- Health, safety and environment policy: we plan our work, including site visits, to be hazard-free, and we support pollution prevention, waste reduction, recycling and energy saving.
- Professional indemnity insurance: AED 10 million cover for our engineering services in the UAE.
- Dubai Chamber: we are a member of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Registrations
We hold a Dubai commercial licence for engineering consultancy, and our engineers hold Dubai Municipality practice certificates in three categories:
- Architectural design consultancy
- Construction engineering services
- Steel construction
We prepare building permit submissions to Dubai Municipality and follow them through to approval.
How our team works
The company is run by a general manager, with accounts and HR and an operations team behind each project. Operations is organised by discipline, so every part of a project has a specialist responsible for it:
- Sales engineers scope each enquiry and prepare the proposal.
- Structural engineers carry out the analysis, design and calculations.
- Architectural engineers handle architectural design and coordination.
- Modellers and detailers build the 3D models and produce shop and erection drawings.

Where we work
From our Dubai office we work on projects in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, Sharjah and the Northern Emirates, and Saudi Arabia and the GCC. Our 94 projects include towers, hotels, bridges, malls, Expo 2020 pavilions, warehouses, factories and solar structures, and two projects in the United States for United Airlines and Microsoft.
